PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sten Biller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kale Ravenal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Biller comes to the cage accompanied by Lützenkirchen- Nutcracker. Kale Ravenal struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Biller shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ravenal napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Biller throws an elbow but Ravenal slips to the side and avoids it well.
Ravenal tries to bench press Biller off him but Biller keeps the position.

Biller goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ravenal is on top in guard.
Ravenal must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Biller shoots in looking for a takedown but Ravenal manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Biller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Biller is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ravenal sees it coming and defends easily.

Biller is working for an americana but Ravenal has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Biller was thinking about the submission.

Biller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ravenal is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Biller, into his guard.

Biller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ravenal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sten Biller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Biller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ravenal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Biller is tightening it up a little... Ravenal has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ravenal reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ravenal taps out! Nice BJJ there by Biller!
