The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Rye keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Jackson trying to mount his opponent but Rye defends it.
Rye wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy.
Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rye wants to get back to full guard.
Rye is trying to control but can't.

Rye moves into full guard.
Jackson preventing the sweep.
Rye should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Rye uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Rye fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Rye. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
Rye bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jackson's head backwards.
Rye misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Rye is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.

Rye looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jackson is defending well. Rye quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jackson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Rye celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
