Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Leshley! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leshley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burns moves away. Leshley swings for the body but Burns moves out of range.
Burns fails to land the takedown. Leshley misses with a looping left. Leshley misses with a body shot.
Burns turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Burns looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Leshley! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Leshley tries to reverse the position but Burns maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burns throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Leshley wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Burns.

That's one minute gone in the round. Burns thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Leshley's head. Burns is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Leshley is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Burns's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Burns's back! Leshley is trying to stick to Burns's back but Burns is turning into Leshley. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Leshley's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Burns. Burns wants to pass the guard but Leshley is keeping the position. Leshley is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Leshley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Burns is controlling him. Burns throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Leshley works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Leshley managing to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bobby Leshley wasn't active enough on the ground. A big left from Burns misses. Leshley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burns.
A big right from Burns misses. Leshley slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Leshley scores with a jab. Leshley avoids the body shot from Burns.
Leshley throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Carl Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burns finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Burns shoots in and drives through. Leshley sprawls well. Leshley tries to bum rush Burns with a series of wild strikes but Burns uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A big right from Burns misses. The crowd cheers as Leshley lands an impressive looking overhand right. Burns doesn't seem phased though. Burns throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leshley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

A jab from Burns does it's job there. Leshley takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Burns takes a swing at Leshley's ribcage but misses. A swing and a miss from Leshley. Leshley checks a low kick from Burns. Burns uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Leshley. Burns is looking to wear down Leshley with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Leshley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Burns scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Burns throws a left and a right that both miss

and Leshley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Burns thinking. Leshley takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Bobby Leshley has been cut. Burns fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Leshley avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Burns looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leshley connects with a leg kick. Burns looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A jab from Burns does it's job there. Leshley misses with a hook. Burns ducked under it nicely. Burns misses with a leg kick. Burns lands a nice hook to Leshley's body. Leshley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burns is defended easily by Leshley. Burns throws a body punch but Leshley moves out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Leshley throws a lazy right hand but Burns sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Decent striking displayed by Leshley there. Burns looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Leshley fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Burns lunges at Leshley with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Leshley's hand. Burns throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Leshley looks to land a right hand but Burns moved out of range. Leshley is looking to slow Burns down with leg kicks. Burns shoots in for a takedown but Leshley shows good takedown defense. This has been an exciting period of action! A looping hook to the body misses from Leshley. Burns does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Burns showed some decent athleticism there. This has been an exciting period of action! Leshley pushes Burns off looking to stand but Burns dives back in and keeps control.
Leshley moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Burns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Leshley lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Burns! Burns tries to reverse the position but Leshley maintains control. Burns is squirming around, avoiding Leshley's attempts to control the action. Carl Burns overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Burns sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Leshley content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Bobby Leshley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Leshley moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Leshley throws a lazy right hand but Burns sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Burns slips a jab from Leshley. Bobby Leshley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Burns feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Leshley's calf. Leshley looks to land a right hand but Burns moved out of range. Burns throws a right and a left that both miss. Leshley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Burns. Leshley walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burns connects with a body shot that sends Leshley's belly button to the back. Burns walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Leshley checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Burns keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Leshley. Leshley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Burns digs a good hook to Leshley's body.
Leshley is breathing heavily. Burns moves out of range of the strikes. Burns changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leshley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Burns cracks Leshley with a big elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burns moves out of range of the strikes. Burns moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Some bone on bone action there as Leshley checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Leshley throws out a loose jab but Burns uses good head movement to avoid it. Burns jabs Leshley to the body, keeping him at a distance. Burns pivots, looking for a leg kick but Leshley is out of range and Burns settles back down. A chopping leg kick lands by Burns. Burns moves out of range as Leshley strikes. Horrible takedown by Burns or perhaps it was just good defense by Leshley which made him look bad. Leshley getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Leshley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Burns misses with a takedown attempt and Leshley counters with a low kick, right behind Burns 's knee. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burns goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good exchange - Leshley coming out on top. A punch lands to the side of Leshley 's head but he takes it in his stride. Burns changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leshley tries to avoid it but Burns manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leshley to the ground. Leshley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Leshley throws a jab when Burns was well out of range. A telegraphed right hand from Burns misses the target. Burns avoids the body shot from Leshley.
Carl Burns is winning the standup battle so far. Burns uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Leshley. Leshley blocks a low kick nicely. Leshley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Burns on the side of the head. Leshley lands a nice looking body shot.
Burns shoots for a takedown but Leshley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Burns fails to land the takedown. Burns throws a hook but Leshley blocks it. Bobby Leshley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns dives in and grabs Leshley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Leshley pushes down on Burns's head and hops out. Burns misses with a straight left. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Leshley walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Leshley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Leshley scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Carl Burns has been cut. Leshley looks to land a combination but Burns avoids it well. Leshley darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Leshley thuds a left hand into Burns's body. Burns tries a head kick but it misses.
Burns misses with a left hand and Leshley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Leshley throws a body punch but Burns moves out of range. Leshley scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Burns swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Leshley lands a nice hook to Burns's body. Burns takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Leshley connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Leshley cracks the inside of Burns's front leg. Leshley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Leshley moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Leshley throws a shot from downtown. Burns moves away and avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! Bobby Leshley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Burns has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Carl Burns! A very excited looking Carl Burns rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
