The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cutty is looking to clinch.
Hong fails with the takedown.
Hong fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hong tries to move into range but Cutty moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hong on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Cutty throws out a leg kick but Hong moves out of range and Cutty only half commits.
Hong moves away from the strike by Cutty.
Cutty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cutty wants it to stay on the feet.
Bill Cutty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kato Hong.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hong is defended easily by Cutty.

and Hong counters with a left and a right that stings Cutty.
Hong wants to clinch up but Cutty keeps it at a distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hong throws a jab but it's blocked by Cutty.
Cutty takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Cutty is breathing heavily.
Hong drives through with a takedown into Cutty's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hong trying to control the position from guard on top but Cutty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hong won't allow Cutty to sweep him here.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kato Hong wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hong dives in and grabs Cutty's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cutty pushes down on Hong's head and hops out.
Cutty throws out a powerful jab.
Cutty looks to throw the jab but Hong is out of range.

Cutty throws a looping overhand right but Hong ducks down to avoid it.
Cutty tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hong swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cutty.
Hong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cutty defends it nicely.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cutty darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Hong counters with a head kick.
Hong circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cutty lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hong misses with a few strikes there.

and Cutty counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Cutty throws a body punch but Hong moves out of range.

and Hong counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hong struggles to land a body shot inside as Cutty controls his hands.
Hong wants to get back to striking at distance but Cutty won't allow it.
Cutty stops a takedown attempt from Hong.
Hong manages to break the clinch.

Nice defenses there by Hong.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Cutty keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cutty moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cutty sprawls well initially but Hong persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kato Hong will probably get the nod.

Hong lands a big head kick that sends Cutty to the canvas! Hong follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
