Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Damajur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Harris! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Damajur fails with an attempt to clinch.
John Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Damajur doesn't manage to clinch there - Harris circles away.
Damajur shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harris sprawls well. Harris wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Damajur gets slowly back to his feet. Harris tries to keep at a distance but Damajur has taken the fight into the clinch. Damajur pulls guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Harris connects with a couple of short punches. Harris content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Harris throws a big right hand that misses. Harris chips away with some ground and pound. Damajur on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Damajur tries to get out of the position. Harris is looking to work some ground and pound but Damajur has wrist control. Damajur is looking to stand up but Harris isn't so interested in that idea. Damajur is trying to control the position but Harris postures up. Harris missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Harris won't allow Damajur to sweep him here. Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Damajur swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harris lands a couple of digs. Harris with a flurry of punches that miss. Damajur utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Harris connects with a couple of short punches. Harris landing some decent shots from guard. Harris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Harris wants to pass the guard but Damajur is keeping the position. Harris won't allow Damajur to get back to his feet. Harris throwing strikes from guard but Damajur blocks nicely. Harris looking to pass the guard.

Damajur is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harris is controlling him. Harris missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Damajur is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harris is controlling him. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Harris's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Harris is working Damajur over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Harris prevents Damajur from getting back to his feet. Damajur keeping moving, preventing Harris from controlling successfully. Damajur preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damajur controls Harris momentarily but Harris frees himself. Harris connects with a couple of short punches. Damajur wants to stand and escape but Harris is having none of it. Harris throws a strike but Damajur rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Harris working for a triangle but Damajur defends it easily.
Damajur is looking to stand up but Harris won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris kicks Damajur off and gets to his feet. Harris closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Damajur to the mat! Damajur manages to get full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Damajur utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Harris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Harris's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Damajur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harris working some strikes from top position. Harris throws an elbow that misses. Damajur uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Harris's guard. Nice move by Damajur! Harris looking to hit a scissor sweep but Damajur is one step ahead there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Harris dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Harris. John Harris has got the better of the ground game so far. Harris connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Damajur some visible discomfort.
Damajur manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Harris prevents Damajur from improving his position. Harris working Damajur over with strikes. Damajur avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Harris. Damajur is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Harris scores with a couple of nice shots. Damajur is looking for a sweep. Harris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Harris moves into full mount! Damajur won't be happy about that! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harris lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris lands with some strikes. Harris landing shots from mount. Damajur is trying to escape the mount.

Damajur is rocked! Harris lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Oh Damajur is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Damajur wants to control but Harris is having none of it. Damajur is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Harris is in the full mount, landing strikes. Harris postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Damajur badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Harris around the waist but Harris pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Harris is the winner by TKO! Harris jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Harris!
