Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Flipper Baby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercer has chosen eminem as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Flipper Baby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Mercer! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mercer takes the fight into the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Mercer is trying to force a seperation but Baby has the dominant position. Baby is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mercer is keeping busy. Baby tries for a takedown but Mercer manages to get underhooks.
Mercer gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Baby.
Mercer has picked Baby up - he's going for a ride! Mercer dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Baby is looking to control Mercer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Baby avoid being mounted? Mercer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Mercer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Mercer postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Baby to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baby moves away from the strike by Mercer. Mercer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Baby manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Baby is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mercer is controlling him. Baby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mercer on the ground. Baby is working an open guard so Mercer takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Baby as Mercer shoots in. Mercer pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Mercer fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Baby as Mercer shoots in. Baby looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Baby fails to land with a series of punches.
Mercer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Baby counters with a head kick. Flipper Baby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Mercer. Mercer misses with an attempted mid kick.
Baby throws a right and a left that both miss. Mercer throws a lazy right hand but Baby sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mercer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Baby. Baby stuffs the takedown. Mercer looks gassed! Mercer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mercer shoots in for a double leg but Baby sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Baby lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Baby with a hook. Danga de danga de dang - Baby scores with a four punch combination!
Mercer is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baby clobbers Mercer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Mercer is still on wobbly legs! Can Baby finish him? Thud! ouch! good body kick from Baby - that will leave a mark!
Mercer seems to have recovered his senses. Baby misses with a two punch combination.
Mercer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Baby but Baby pushes him off and we're back to square one. Baby swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Some wild striking there from Baby.
Mercer misses with a low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Alex Mercer will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Baby throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mercer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Baby counters with a good low kick that Mercer was not able to check. Mercer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baby swats him away and circles back towards the center. Baby misses with a double jab.
Baby looks for the body kick but Mercer saw that one coming. Baby throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mercer. Mercer rushes Baby and presses him up against the cage. Mercer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Baby lands with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mercer tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Mercer forces Baby back against the cage and clinches. Mercer is defending well against a takedown attempt. Baby manages to break the clinch.
Mercer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Mercer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mercer looking to control but Baby is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Baby can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mercer controlling from mount. Mercer scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Baby?
Mercer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Baby keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercer throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Baby has his hands clasped together but Mercer breaks the hold and Baby is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Mercer!
