Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Linekar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kahn Poppason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poppason has chosen Mortal Kombat Theme as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aaron Linekar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kahn Poppason!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Linekar misses.

Linekar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Poppason will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Linekar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Poppason manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Linekar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Linekar drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Poppason manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Linekar has Poppason in his guard.

Poppason swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Poppason looks to land a combination but Linekar avoids it well.

The fight stays on the outside here - Linekar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That kick from Linekar tenderised Poppason's leg. Poppason is trying to keep his angry face on.

Kahn Poppason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Linekar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Poppason is trying to defend but Linekar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Linekar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Poppason was covering up waiting for the punch and Linekar finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Poppason shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Linekar eats them both and turns towards Poppason to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Linekar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Poppason on his heels. He'll look to pass Poppason's guard now, I'm sure.
