Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Crosher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Ridgeon! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ridgeon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Crosher. Ridgeon is looking to chop away at Crosher's legs. Ridgeon fails in his attempt to clinch. Ridgeon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Crosher working hard to break the clinch. Crosher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Crosher throws a series of punches but Ridgeon moves out of range. Ridgeon is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Crosher stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crosher wants it to stay on the feet. Ridgeon throws a push kick but Crosher slaps the foot to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crosher darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ridgeon misses with an uppercut
and Crosher makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Crosher keeps the fight on the outside. A solid leg kick lands there for Crosher.
Ridgeon looks to score with a jab to the body but Crosher is just out of range. Crosher connects with a solid leg kick. Ridgeon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ridgeon takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crosher scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ridgeon in his tracks. Crosher throws a nice looking combination but Ridgeon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ridgeon tries to clinch but Crosher is having none of it. Ridgeon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Crosher counters with a slapping leg kick. Ridgeon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Crosher tries to land a front kick but Ridgeon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Matt Crosher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crosher clobbers Ridgeon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Ridgeon drives through with a takedown into guard. Crosher wants to get back to his feet but Ridgeon is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ridgeon trying to control but Crosher is working from the bottom. Ridgeon drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Crosher dives on top into guard. Crosher has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ridgeon has his foot on Crosher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Crosher works his way back into a safe position though. Ridgeon controls Crosher momentarily but Crosher frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ridgeon throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Ridgeon is working an open guard so Crosher takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ridgeon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Crosher has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ridgeon slows down the pace here.
Crosher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ridgeon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dave Ridgeon will probably get the nod. That's time! Crosher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Crosher circles away from the clinch attempt.
Crosher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Crosher misses with a wild combination.
Ridgeon shoots in for a takedown but Crosher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ridgeon has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Crosher cracks Ridgeon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. A punch combination from Crosher misses. Crosher attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crosher lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Ridgeon fails in his attempt to clinch. Ridgeon swings away with a body shot that misses
and Crosher counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ridgeon's knee momentarily. Ridgeon tries to clinch there but Crosher circles away.
Crosher throws a right and a left that both miss. Crosher's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Crosher duly obliges. Crosher lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ridgeon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ridgeon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Crosher. Crosher swats away the attempt to clinch by Ridgeon. Ridgeon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crosher sprawls well. Crosher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ridgeon gets slowly back to his feet. Ridgeon wants to clinch but Crosher slips to the side and Crosher counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ridgeon closes the distance and clinches. Ridgeon keeps control of Crosher as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ridgeon slows down the pace here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crosher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ridgeon shoots in looking for a takedown. Crosher tries to sprawl out of it but Ridgeon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crosher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Matt Crosher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Ridgeon. Crosher lands a nice hook to Ridgeon's body. Ridgeon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ridgeon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Crosher scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Crosher.
Ridgeon misses with a leg kick. Ridgeon shoots in and drives through. Crosher sprawls well. Crosher goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Crosher misses with a body shot.
Crosher scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ridgeon doesn't seem bothered though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Crosher dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Ridgeon misses with a takedown attempt - Crosher sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Crosher is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Crosher lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A big left from Ridgeon misses. Ridgeon closes the distance looking to clinch and Crosher counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ridgeon avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ridgeon shoots in looking for a takedown. Crosher tries to sprawl out of it but Ridgeon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crosher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ridgeon moves out of range of the leg kick from Crosher. Matt Crosher is winning the standup battle so far. Crosher fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Crosher scores with a jab to the head.
Ridgeon with a lazy takedown attempt and Crosher counters with a one-two to the body. Matt Crosher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Ridgeon. Ridgeon avoids the body shot from Crosher.

Ridgeon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Crosher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ridgeon wants to clinch. Crosher feints and then cracks Ridgeon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ridgeon down. Ridgeon throws a lazy body kick and Crosher makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ridgeon tries to clinch but Crosher moves out of range. Ridgeon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Crosher counters with a one-two to the body. Ridgeon wants to clinch up but Crosher keeps it at a distance. Crosher misses with a double jab.
Sloppy strikes from Crosher. Those never looked like landing. Crosher looks to land a combination but Ridgeon avoids it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Crosher showed his dominance in that final round. I think Crosher has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
