Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iron Van Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iron Van Damn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Van Damn.
Horrible takedown by Archer or perhaps it was just good defense by Van Damn which made him look bad.
Archer misses with a double jab.
Archer looks to land a body kick but Van Damn moved away.
Archer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Van Damn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Van Damn.
Van Damn drags the fight down to the ground.
Van Damn wants to sweep here but Archer controlling him for the moment.
Archer stands and throws Van Damn's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Van Damn is looking to regain half guard here but Archer keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Damn is working to avoid the ground and pound but Archer connects with a decent elbow.
Archer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Archer wants to control for a moment but Van Damn uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Archer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Van Damn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Van Damn misses with a jab, cross combination.

Van Damn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Archer counters with a nice uppercut.
Archer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Archer throws an overhand right that lands on Van Damn's shoulder, as Van Damn tries to avoid the shot.
Van Damn tries to close the distance and clinch but Archer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sterling Archer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iron Van Damn.
Van Damn takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Archer is looking to clinch but Van Damn is avoiding it.

Archer throws a hook but Van Damn avoids it easily.

Archer throws a right and a left that Van Damn avoids nicely.
Van Damn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Archer circles away quickly and effectively.

Archer throws the kick towards the body but Van Damn avoids it.

Van Damn shoots for a takedown but Archer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Van Damn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Archer to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Archer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Van Damn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Archer, into his guard.
Archer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Van Damn's guard.

Archer advances to half guard.
Still in half guard, Archer seems content to control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Archer maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Van Damn could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Archer has cracked it and Van Damn is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Archer!

Sterling Archer really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Malicious Intent Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
