Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Fuavai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alano Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fuavai might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Champ Is Here (ROH Mix). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christopher keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fuavai tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Christopher swivels and escapes.
Fuavai closes this distance looking for a takedown but Christopher circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremiah Fuavai. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fuavai wants to clinch up but Christopher keeps it at a distance.
Christopher clinches with his opponent.
The referee is keeping an eye on Christopher - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fuavai accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Christopher stands up and beckons Fuavai to join him on the feet.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fuavai's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Christopher connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fuavai scrambles back to his feet.
Fuavai throws a head kick but Christopher moves out of range.
Jeremiah Fuavai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Christopher or perhaps it was just good defense by Fuavai which made him look bad.

and Christopher holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Christopher ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Christopher no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Christopher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fuavai!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
