Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lloyd Christmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCoy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Voices. Austin McCoy had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy shoots in and gets a takedown into Christmas's guard.
McCoy trying to control the position from guard on top but Christmas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McCoy wants to get up but he can't break Christmas's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Austin McCoy.
McCoy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Christmas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Christmas is pushing McCoy's head away, looking to escape. McCoy manages to hold on to the position though.
McCoy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christmas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

McCoy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Christmas is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McCoy, into his guard.
McCoy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Christmas's guard.

McCoy connects with a couple of short punches.
Christmas thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Christmas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
McCoy has gone for a leg lock! Christmas slips out almost immediately though and dives into McCoy's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McCoy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Christmas is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McCoy.

Christmas has his foot on McCoy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCoy works his way back into a safe position though.

McCoy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Christmas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McCoy is in Christmas's guard.
Christmas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McCoy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Christmas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McCoy has Christmas in his guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Christmas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Christmas looking to sit in guard and control but McCoy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Austin McCoy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McCoy throwing shots but Christmas is blocking nicely.
McCoy decides to return to a standing position.
McCoy shoots in and bounces Christmas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Christmas pushes McCoy off and scrambles back to his feet.

Christmas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
McCoy wants to control from the top but Christmas keeps moving.

McCoy stands and steps away. Christmas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

McCoy feints and as Christmas raises his hands in defense, McCoy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Christmas is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and McCoy dives into side control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Christmas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Christmas is trying to control the action in half guard but McCoy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCoy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Christmas scores with a couple of nice shots.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCoy looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Christmas pushes past his half guard into mount!
Christmas prevents McCoy from getting the reversal.

I would just about give that final round to Lloyd Christmas.
I think McCoy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
