Brannigan comes to the cage accompanied by QOTSA - 'You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire'. Bastos comes into a darkened arena with his song building. D-Nox & Beckers - One Shot (Flame On Fire Remix) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Andreas Bastos!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brannigan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bastos.
Bastos scores with a jab to the body.
Bastos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brannigan.
Bastos digs a good body shot into Brannigan's ribs.
Bastos jabs Brannigan right on the nose. Brannigan blinks but takes it well.
Brannigan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Brannigan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brannigan misses with a straight left.
Bastos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bastos throws a right hand that Brannigan ducks under and follows up with a left that Brannigan also avoids with ease.

Brannigan avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Bastos lands a nice shot that snaps Brannigan's head back.
Bastos misses with a series of wild punches.
Brannigan tries to clinch up but Bastos circles away and keeps his distance.
Brannigan looks for the body kick but Bastos saw that one coming.

Bastos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bastos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Brannigan keeping moving, preventing Bastos from controlling successfully.
Brannigan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Brannigan wants to sweep but no luck.

Bastos passes Brannigan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Bastos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brannigan sees it coming and defends easily.

Brannigan tries to get to full guard but Bastos has control of the leg.

Brannigan is defending against the submission attempts here by Bastos.
Brannigan is doing well to control the position and prevent Bastos from advancing to side control.

Bastos is keen to just control but Brannigan is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bastos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brannigan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Brannigan won't allow Bastos to pass to mount.

Bastos is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Brannigan is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
