Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Macor Mick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richards has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Brandon Richards is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Macor Mick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brandon Richards! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richards keeps the fight on the outside. Richards looks gassed! Mick moves into range and clinches up with Richards. Mick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mick fails with a takedown attempt. Mick shoots in looking for a takedown. Richards tries to sprawl out of it but Mick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Richards manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Richards paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Richards looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mick jabs at Richards's body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mick lets loose with a powerful body kick. Richards will feel that in the morning. Mick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mick shoots in looking for a takedown. Richards tries to sprawl out of it but Mick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Richards manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Macor Mick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mick closes the distance and clinches. Mick is trying to drag Richards to the mat but Richards just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Mick manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mick has his foot on Richards's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Richards works his way back into a safe position though. Richards preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Richards can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Richards chips away with some ground and pound. Richards has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mick is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Richards on the ground. Mick is looking to stand up but Richards isn't so interested in that idea. Mick looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Richards is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Richards with a flurry of punches that miss. Richards decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Mick tries to clinch there but Richards circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mick looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mick is looking to clinch but Richards is avoiding it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mick connects with the punch. Mick shoots in for a double leg but Richards sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mick gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mick manages to break the clinch.
Richards fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mick throws a head kick but Richards moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Richards. Richards keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Macor Mick dominated that round. That's time! Mick's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Richards fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mick sprawls well initially but Richards persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mick wants to get back to full guard. Mick on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mick tries to get out of the position. Mick is looking to control Richards's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mick avoid being mounted? Mick makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mick. Mick looking for a guillotine here but Richards defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mick not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mick pushes Richards off and gets back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mick shoots in and drives through. Richards sprawls well. Richards looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mick closes the distance and lands a one-two. Richards stuffs the takedown attempt from Mick. Mick gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Macor Mick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mick throws a series of punches but Richards avoids them all with ease. Mick misses with a takedown attempt - Richards sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Richards shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mick napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richards is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mick is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Richards throws a strike aimed at the side of Mick's head but Mick avoids it well. Richards working the ground and pound. Mick is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Richards misses with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mick wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richards working away. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Mick here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Richards thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Richards is trying to get an arm triangle but Mick is defending well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The ground and pound from Richards seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Brandon Richards will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Mick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Richards paws at him with a jab and circles away. Richards takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Richards shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mick pinned against the cage. Mick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mick closes this distance looking for a takedown but Richards circles away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Horrible takedown by Mick or perhaps it was just good defense by Richards which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Macor Mick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Richards on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mick. Mick obviously looking to wear him down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mick is looking to clinch. Mick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Richards paws at him with a jab and circles away. No joy there for Mick, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mick enables Richards to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mick manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Richards is one step ahead there. Mick wants to stand and escape but Richards is having none of it. Richards controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richards throws a big elbow that misses. Richards slips nicely into half guard. Richards seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Brandon Richards has got the better of the ground game so far. Richards is nestled in close to Mick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ground and pound from Richards. Richards stops Mick from getting back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Richards is taking a breather. Mick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mick tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Richards manages to move to mount!
Mick takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mick is trying desperately to improve position. Richards breaks from Mick's wrist control and lands an elbow. Mick tries to get back to half guard but can't. Richards trying to control but Mick is having none of it. Richards working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mick defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Richards. Mick is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Richards prevents Mick from getting the reversal. Richards raining down shots from the mount! Mick wants to hold on but Richards pushes him away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Richards lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mick hang on?
And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Richards comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Richards has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
