Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darrel Digre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paro Karysian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Digre's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Zuco 103 - Treasure. Paro Karysian will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Darrel Digre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paro Karysian! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karysian has closed the distance and engaged Digre in a clinch.
Digre gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Karysian regains guard.
Digre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karysian swivels though and keeps the full guard. Karysian pushes Digre off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Digre darts in and clinches Karysian up against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Karysian. Karysian tries to score a body lock takedown but Digre shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Digre manages to pull guard.
Digre is trying to control the position but Karysian postures up. Karysian in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Karysian postures up.
Karysian would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Digre looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Karysian has picked Digre up and slammed him! Digre can't keep hold of the triangle and Karysian manages to pass to side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Digre wants to control but Karysian postures up. Karysian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Digre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Karysian wants to control but Digre is keeping him busy. Karysian wants to stand but Digre has his arm trapped.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Karysian stuffs the takedown attempt from Digre. Digre gets slowly back to his feet. Digre lands a nice shot that snaps Karysian's head back.
Karysian wants to clinch up but Digre keeps it at a distance. Karysian looks to clinch and Digre counters with a nice double leg into side control. Karysian won't be happy with that. Digre is breathing heavily. Digre stands up. Karysian tries to clinch but Digre is having none of it. Karysian doesn't manage to clinch there - Digre circles away.
Karysian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Digre shoots in for a double leg but Karysian sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Digre closes this distance looking for a takedown but Karysian circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darrel Digre. That's going to take a lot out of him. Karysian tries to close the distance and clinch but Digre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Karysian bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Karysian decides to stand back up. Digre scores with a hook to the body. Karysian takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Digre looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Karysian! Digre can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Karysian is looking to escape. Karysian tries to hold on but Digre postures up. Karysian regains half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Digre is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Karysian can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Digre is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Karysian reverses the position - he's now on top in Digre's guard. Karysian wants to stand but Digre has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Karysian stays in close to Digre's body and controls the position. Digre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Karysian doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Karysian manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Karysian is looking to stand up but Digre won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Digre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Karysian tries to roll over but Digre keeps him under control. Digre working over Karysian with some ground and pound. Karysian looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Digre is pressing down on Karysian's thigh, looking to free his foot. Karysian is holding on for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Digre is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Digre is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darrel Digre dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Digre circles away from the clinch attempt.
Karysian fails in his attempt to clinch. Digre shoots in looking for a takedown. Karysian tries to sprawl out of it but Digre keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Karysian manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Karysian rushes Digre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Karysian crunches a lovely knee into Digre's ribcage. Digre wants a takedown but no success here.
Karysian is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Digre pulls him back up using the underhooks. Digre takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Darrel Digre has been cut. Karysian scores with a knee to the head.
Karysian lands an elbow inside that Digre shrugs off. Karysian pulls guard successfully.
Digre trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Digre prevents Karysian from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karysian is trying to keep Digre in close.
Darrel Digre overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karysian looking to hit a scissor sweep but Digre is one step ahead there. Digre is fighting to break Karysian's control of his arms but Karysian is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Digre trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Digre won't allow Karysian to get back to his feet. Digre drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Karysian manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Digre has Karysian in his guard. Digre wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Digre working for a triangle but Karysian defends it easily.
Digre throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Digre throws his legs up looking for a submission but Karysian uses it to pass to side control.
Karysian tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Digre sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Digre actively working from the bottom here. Digre gets full guard. Digre looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Karysian controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Karysian trying to stand up but can't free himself from Digre's guard. Digre is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Karysian is looking to stand up but Digre won't let him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Digre is looking to sinch up a triangle. Karysian throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Digre's body to avoid the submission. Digre has instead reached around Karysian's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Digre arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
