Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Maggio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maggio comes to the cage accompanied by Speak Softly Love. Rico Sanchez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Maggio there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Maggio thumps Sanchez with a low kick.
Sanchez throws a head kick but Maggio moves out of range.
Maggio feints and then cracks Sanchez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sanchez down.
Maggio gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Maggio fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sanchez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Maggio buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sanchez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maggio is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Tony Maggio will probably get the nod.

Maggio reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Maggio taps out! Nice BJJ there by Sanchez!
