Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roman Svetlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boston Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Svetlov comes to the cage accompanied by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xx4Wa0heib4&feature=related. Boston Terrier is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roman Svetlov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 85 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boston Terrier! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The crowd cheers as Svetlov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Terrier doesn't seem phased though. Svetlov lands a jab to the head.
Svetlov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Terrier. Terrier tries to keep at a distance but Svetlov has taken the fight into the clinch. Svetlov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Svetlov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Terrier takes a body punch but keeps moving. Svetlov lands a jab-cross combination. Svetlov avoids a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svetlov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Terrier was covering up waiting for the punch and Svetlov finishes the takedown easily into guard. Svetlov passes Terrier's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Svetlov trying to control the pace. Terrier tries to kick Svetlov off but Svetlov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Svetlov is taking a breather. Terrier says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Svetlov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Terrier defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Svetlov seems content to control. Svetlov escapes and gets back to his feet. Svetlov takes the fight into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Svetlov gets control of Terrier's arms and successfully pulls guard. Svetlov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Svetlov managing to control the position. Terrier got a little sloppy there for a moment and Svetlov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Terrier has managed to get both his arms back between Svetlov's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Svetlov manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Terrier gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Terrier gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Svetlov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Svetlov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Terrier looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Svetlov sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Terrier defending well though. Svetlov is trying to work for a kimura but Terrier is defending well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Svetlov is looking for a kimura here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Svetlov is taking a breather. Terrier says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roman Svetlov dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Svetlov pushes Terrier off and gets back to his feet.
Svetlov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Terrier, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svetlov lands a knee to the head.
Svetlov lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Terrier wants to get back to his feet. Svetlov drops an elbow to the side of Terrier's head. Svetlov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Terrier is breathing heavily. Svetlov winds up and cracks Terrier with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Terrier is rocked! Svetlov landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Terrier is still in real trouble! Can Svetlov finish him? Svetlov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Terrier has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Still in half guard, Svetlov seems content to control. Svetlov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Terrier sees it coming and defends easily. Svetlov stands up from half guard. Svetlov cracks Terrier's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Terrier slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Svetlov can do further damage! This one is done, son!
