The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Million jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Million takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Thompson scores with a hook.
It looks like Max Million has been cut.
Thompson scores with a hook to the body. Million takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thompson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Million momentarily.
Some wild striking there from Thompson.
Thompson looks to throw the jab but Million is out of range.
Thompson cracks Million with a right hand to the side of the head.
Million slips a straight right by Thompson.
Thompson slaps away a takedown attempt from Million, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Million moves away from the strike by Thompson.
Million takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thompson drops Million with a straight right hand, right on the button! Thompson follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Thompson!
In his post fight interview, James Thompson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
