Riverboat misses with a few strikes there.
Janikowski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Riverboat is fending him off so far but Janikowski persists. Nope, Riverboat circles away and we're back to standing.
Janikowski closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Riverboat did well to prevent Janikowski getting side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Janikowski decides to stand back up.
Janikowski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Riverboat sprawls well initially but Janikowski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Janikowski tries to clinch but Riverboat is having none of it.
Oooooh!!! Riverboat has knocked Janikowski down with a huge combo! Riverboat steps away and waves a wobbly Janikowski back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Damian Janikowski has been cut.

Riverboat connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Janikowski out cold! This one is over in a flash!
