Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Roszkowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Miguel! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miguel tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Roszkowski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Roszkowski fails with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Miguel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Roszkowski struggling a bit here. Miguel stands up and beckons Roszkowski to his feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Miguel. Roszkowski is not content to let Miguel control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miguel decides to take the fight back to the feet. Miguel stuffs the takedown. Miguel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roszkowski paws at him with a jab and circles away. Miguel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Miguel moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Roszkowski has worked his arm free - good work by Roszkowski!
Roszkowski struggling a bit here. Roszkowski tries to buck Miguel off but Miguel is having none of it. You can see the frustration on Roszkowski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Roszkowski looks to move to half guard but instead Miguel has passed into mount! Damn!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roszkowski is trying to escape the mount.
Miguel with good strikes from the mount here! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Miguel landing strikes from the mount and Roszkowski is in trouble! Miguel controlling the position easily from mount. Miguel with the ground and pound from mount. Roszkowski is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Miguel punishing his opponent with strikes. Roszkowski tries to get back to half guard but can't. Roszkowski tries to hold on but Miguel postures up. Roszkowski throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Roszkowski is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roszkowski is trying desperately to improve position. Miguel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Roszkowski can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Roszkowski is rocked! Miguel unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Roszkowski wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Miguel celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
