The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan misses with a takedown attempt

and Summers counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hogan !
Summers won't let Hogan get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Summers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Summers has eaten all the pies!

Summers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Summers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hogan keeps working.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Nick Summers wasn't active enough on the ground.
Summers dives in and grabs Hogan 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hogan pushes down on Summers 's head and hops out.
Hogan leaves Summers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Summers looks gassed!

Hogan has hold of Summers 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Summers seems comfortable defending it but Hogan has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Summers is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Summers is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hogan couldn't care less - he's delighted!
