Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kimboso Akamawah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Aggot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kimboso Akamawah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Franklin Aggot! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aggot changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Akamawah looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Aggot working away. Akamawah gets back to half guard. Akamawah has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aggot is working away from the top position though. Aggot slips a nice elbow through Akamawah's hands, connecting with Akamawah's forehead. Aggot wants to take a breather but Akamawah is having none of it. Aggot gets to his feet - back to striking we go! A momentary lapse in concentration from Akamawah enables Aggot to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Akamawah manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aggot postures up in Akamawah's guard and throws a big left but Akamawah blocks it. Aggot wants to stand and escape but instead Akamawah has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Akamawah is looking to work some ground and pound but Aggot has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akamawah preventing the sweep. Aggot is looking to stand up but Akamawah isn't so interested in that idea. Akamawah throws a big right hand that misses. Akamawah loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Aggot wants to get back to his feet but Akamawah is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Akamawah cracks Aggot with a solid left hand. Akamawah throws a big elbow that misses. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aggot can do anything to dispel that myth. Akamawah throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akamawah wants to stand but Aggot is controlling his posture from full guard. Akamawah will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Akamawah throwing strikes from guard but Aggot blocks nicely. Aggot wants to stand but Akamawah is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aggot is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Akamawah gets to his feet. Aggot looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Akamawah tries for a takedown but Aggot circles away easily and Aggot counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Aggot fails to land with a series of punches.
Aggot shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Akamawah's guard. Aggot cracks Akamawah with a solid left hand. Akamawah working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Aggot. Aggot stands up and waves to Akamawah to follow him. Aggot shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aggot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Akamawah works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aggot trying to stand up but can't free himself from Akamawah's guard. Aggot pushes down on Akamawah's leg and manages to get into half guard. Akamawah trying to hold on to Aggot's head to control him but Aggot postures up.
Aggot wants to free his trapped foot but Akamawah is holding on for dear life with his legs. Aggot landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Aggot is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Ground and pound from Aggot. Aggot trying to control from half guard but Akamawah is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franklin Aggot dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Aggot feints and as Akamawah raises his hands in defense, Aggot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Aggot distracts Akamawah with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Akamawah preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Akamawah has a closed guard, preventing Aggot from standing up. Aggot pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Akamawah is keeping the position for now. Aggot trying to control the position from guard on top but Akamawah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Akamawah is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Aggot is controlling him. Aggot with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aggot is working Akamawah over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Akamawah has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Aggot off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. No luck with that takedown attempt from Akamawah. Akamawah with a lazy takedown attempt and Aggot counters with a two punch combo. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A bone on bone clash there as Akamawah blocks the leg kick.
Aggot drives through with a takedown into guard. Aggot has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Akamawah is proving hard to escape from. Aggot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Aggot with a flurry of punches that miss. Akamawah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Aggot with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aggot trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Aggot cracks Akamawah with a solid left hand. Aggot with a nice head shot there. Aggot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Akamawah works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Akamawah has momentary wrist control but Aggot slips an elbow through the middle. Aggot throws a strike but Akamawah rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Aggot is looking to stand up but Akamawah isn't so interested in that idea. Akamawah is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Aggot is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Aggot has escaped and now he's on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aggot slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Aggot working the head and body with strikes. Aggot just content to control the position. Akamawah takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Aggot tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aggot has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Aggot tries to get to his feet but Akamawah is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Aggot in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akamawah utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Aggot gets to his feet - Akamawah follows without any prompting. Akamawah gets caught flat footed, as Aggot shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aggot has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Akamawah is proving hard to escape from. Aggot wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Akamawah's closed guard. He's half up but Akamawah has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Akamawah pivots and extends the arm, Aggot falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Akamawah! Well done that man!
