Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Voychenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Marlow!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voychenko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Marlow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A big left from Voychenko misses.
Voychenko missing with a left hand there. Marlow was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vladimir Voychenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Voychenko connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Marlow's hands.
Voychenko throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Voychenko misses with an uppercut
and Marlow counters with an outside leg kick.
Voychenko throws a leg kick
and Marlow counters with a slapping leg kick.
Marlow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Voychenko throws out the jab.
Voychenko misses with a left hand
and Marlow counters with a nice body kick.
Marlow throws a solid leg kick but Voychenko takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marlow.
Marlow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Marlow counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Marlow will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Marlow throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Marlow fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Marlow lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Voychenko throws a hook to the side of Marlow's head but Marlow sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Voychenko throws a leg kick but Marlow sees it coming and moves out of range.

Voychenko shoots in and bounces Marlow off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Voychenko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Voychenko sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Marlow's guard.
Voychenko uses his free foot to push down on Marlow's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Marlow.
Voychenko looking to control but Marlow is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Voychenko with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Voychenko has control of Marlow's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Marlow regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Voychenko trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Voychenko working for a submission but Marlow is keeping him at bay.

Voychenko is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Voychenko extends the arm and Marlow is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Vladimir Voychenko!
Vladimir Voychenko decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
