Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Mutt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Teddy Sheehan!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheehan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mutt throws a hook to the side of Sheehan's head but Sheehan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mutt moves in looking to clinch but Sheehan pushes him off.
A cross from Mutt lands.
It looks like Teddy Sheehan has been cut.
Sheehan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mutt counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Mutt misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sheehan prevents a body shot from Mutt.
Good body shot from Mutt.
Mutt tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mutt is trying to push Sheehan away but Sheehan has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Mutt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mutt tries to land knees in the clinch but Sheehan avoids the damage to the body.
Mutt manages to break the clinch.
Mutt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Mutt enables Sheehan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mutt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mutt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mutt tries to get out of the position.
Sheehan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sheehan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sheehan content to stall in guard here.
Mutt tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sheehan trying to control but Mutt is working from the bottom.

Sheehan stands and throws Mutt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sheehan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mutt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Mutt struggling a bit here.

Sheehan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mutt, who protects the arm well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sheehan has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Mutt is forced to tap!
