Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Laden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anomander Rake! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rake lands a front kick. Nice sprawl there from Rake as Laden shoots in. Rake stuffs the takedown. Laden on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Laden shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Laden. That's going to take a lot out of him. Laden looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rake is fending him off so far but Laden persists. Nope, Rake circles away and we're back to standing. Rake misses with a wild combination.
Laden fails with the takedown. Rake connects with a body shot. Rake moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rake cracks Laden with a good jab. Rake darts in and clinches Laden up against the cage. A short right from Rake. Rake lands a shot to the body. Rake is working Laden over against the cage. Laden is breathing heavily. Laden is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rake to keep the fight standing. Rake lands with a left to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rake lands a shoulder strike.
It looks like Jack Laden has been cut. Laden fails to pull guard.
Rake gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Laden.
Rake lands on the inside with an uppercut. Rake has Laden pressed against the cage.
Laden is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rake to keep the fight standing. Rake lands a body shot. Laden is trying to pull guard but Rake has him pressed against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rake takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Rake tries a body shot but Laden blocks it.
Rake scores with an uppercut up the middle. Rake pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rake throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Rake scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Laden is rocked! Rake lands a really nice looking cross but Laden seems unphased.
Oh Laden is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jack Laden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Laden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rake's waist but Rake gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laden off to one side. Laden doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Laden seems to have got his legs back now. Anomander Rake is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Laden shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rake sprawls well. Rake wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Laden gets slowly back to his feet. Laden avoids a punch combination nicely.

Rake lands a jab to Laden's midsection. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Laden. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Rake moves into the clinch. A short right from Rake on the inside. Rake gets through Laden's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Laden tries to pull guard but Rake holds him up against the cage and eventually Laden drops back down to his feet.
Rake lands with a left to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rake lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jack Laden's cut is getting worse. Rake breaks from the clinch.
Rake connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Rake lands an overhand right. Are you kidding me?! Rake ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Laden clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
