Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pitbull Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorje Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slayer has chosen Otep - Battle Ready as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Pitbull Alves has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Pitbull Alves seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pitbull Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorje Slayer! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves tries for a takedown but Slayer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Alves has a takedown stuffed. Alves shoots in looking for a takedown. Slayer tries to sprawl out of it but Alves keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slayer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pitbull Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alves is looking to clinch. Slayer feints and as Alves raises his hands in defense, Slayer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Alves keeping moving, preventing Slayer from controlling successfully. Alves bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Slayer's guard. Alves stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slayer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Alves trying to control the position from guard on top but Slayer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Alves drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Slayer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alves has Slayer in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slayer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Alves is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Alves working a defensive guard here.
Alves looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Alves is breathing heavily. Slayer wants to control from the top but Alves keeps moving. Alves is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slayer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Slayer looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Alves misses with a straight right. Slayer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Alves! Slayer manages to capitalize on a mistake by Alves to take his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alves is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Slayer gets his way!
Alves is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
You can see the frustration on Alves's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Slayer tries to keep control of the position but Alves is staying busy.

Slayer is looking for a choke. Alves gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Alves manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. Slayer looking for a sweep. Not yet Slayer, not yet. Alves trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Slayer manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Alves keeping busy on the bottom but Slayer has passed one foot through into half guard.
Slayer is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Alves has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slayer wants to control but Alves is keeping him busy. Alves is trying to control but can't.
Alves tries to roll over but Slayer keeps him under control. Alves actively working from the bottom here. Alves is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Slayer pulls his head out easily. Alves actively working from the bottom here. Alves slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Alves looking for a sweep. Not yet Alves, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorje Slayer dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Alves tries to clinch there but Slayer circles away.
Alves with a poor takedown and Slayer counters with a takedown into side control. Slayer prevents Alves from escaping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slayer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alves is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Alves is looking to reverse the position. Slayer working away. The ground and pound from Slayer seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Alves gets back to half guard. Slayer missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves taking some punishment here, with Slayer in his half guard. Alves manages to get to full guard.
Slayer stands up and waves to Alves to follow him. Alves looks to clinch so Slayer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Slayer wants to pass the guard but Alves is keeping the position. Alves looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Slayer has picked Alves up and slammed him! Alves can't keep hold of the triangle and Slayer manages to pass to side control! Slayer happy to just control the position for now. Alves manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Slayer is in trouble now - Alves has advanced to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Slayer has worked his arm free - good work by Slayer!
Alves working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Alves wants to control but Slayer is keeping him busy. Alves tries to move to mount but Slayer blocks the move with his legs. Alves working away. Alves wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Slayer, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alves has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Slayer manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Alves wants to improve his position but Slayer is controlling well.
Slayer is nestled in close to Alves, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Slayer has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Alves taking shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Slayer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Alves can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Alves wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Slayer is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Alves knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Alves for a finish. Alves defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Slayer's arms. Slayer patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Alves breaks Slayer's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Jorje Slayer has got the better of the ground game so far. Alves prevents Slayer from getting back to his feet. Slayer controls Alves momentarily but Alves frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorje Slayer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Slayer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alves looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Slayer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Slayer trying to control the action but Alves is working from the bottom. Alves is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Slayer is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Alves gets back to half guard. Alves makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Excellent takedown into side control there by Slayer. Slayer is looking to take a break and control but Alves is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Alves is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Alves tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Slayer looking to secure an arm triangle but Alves defends it well. Alves tries to reverse the position but Slayer maintains control. Slayer landing strikes, looking to finish! Slayer prevents Alves from getting the reversal.

He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Alves turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Slayer off and cradles Alves's limp body as Slayer celebrates with his corner.
