Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Dawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dardadan Kakadan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dardadan Kakadan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richard Dawn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dardadan Kakadan! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kakadan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dawn but Dawn pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dawn closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kakadan did well to prevent Dawn getting side control. Dawn is pressing down on Kakadan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kakadan is holding on for now. Kakadan tries to roll over but Dawn keeps him under control. Dawn is working for a kimura but Kakadan is defending it quite comfortably.
Dawn looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Dawn with the ground and pound but Kakadan uses the opportunity to regain guard. Dawn slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dawn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kakadan tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dawn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dawn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dawn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on Kakadan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kakadan managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dawn.
Kakadan is looking to regain half guard here but Dawn keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kakadan struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kakadan is not content to let Dawn control the position. Dawn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kakadan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dawn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kakadan gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dawn is working for a submission of some sort.
Kakadan moves into full guard.
Dawn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dawn stands and steps away. Kakadan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dawn stuffs the takedown. Kakadan throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dawn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kakadan. Dawn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kakadan! Kakadan is working to get back to half guard.
Dawn takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Even with his hooks in, Dawn manages to miss with strikes from the back. Kakadan wants to control his opponent's hands but Dawn gets his hands free. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Dawn dominated that round. That's time! Dawn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dawn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dawn lands in his opponent's guard. Kakadan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dawn is one step ahead there. Dawn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dawn preventing the sweep. Kakadan keeping moving, preventing Dawn from controlling successfully. Kakadan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dawn manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dawn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kakadan defends it easily. Kakadan trying to control but Dawn is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dawn working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Kakadan has passed into half guard!
Dawn is not content to let Kakadan control the position. Kakadan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Dawn tries to kick Kakadan off but Kakadan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kakadan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kakadan is looking to take a break and control but Dawn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dawn works his way to full guard. Good work. Dawn looking for a guillotine here but Kakadan defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kakadan tries to free his leg and advance position but Dawn is retaining full guard. Dawn has his foot on Kakadan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kakadan works his way back into a safe position though. Dawn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kakadan! Kakadan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Richard Dawn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dawn jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kakadan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kakadan and Dawn has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kakadan is looking for a sweep. Dawn throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kakadan is not content to let Dawn control the position. Dawn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dawn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kakadan, who protects the arm well. Kakadan is looking for a sweep. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dawn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kakadan has escaped the position, nice work there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Richard Dawn will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Kakadan shoots in but Dawn avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dawn scores with a takedown into Kakadan's guard. Dawn wants to control from the top but Kakadan keeps moving. Dawn slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kakadan working a defensive guard here.

Richard Dawn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kakadan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dawn as he jumps to the side. Kakadan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dawn to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dawn forces his way into half guard. Dawn prevents Kakadan from improving his position. Dawn decides to stand and escape the position. Dawn stuffs the takedown attempt from Kakadan. Kakadan gets slowly back to his feet. Richard Dawn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dardadan Kakadan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kakadan misses the jab. Dawn throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kakadan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dawn is in Kakadan's guard. Kakadan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dawn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dawn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dawn trying to control but Kakadan is working from the bottom. Dawn looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kakadan throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dawn throwing strikes but missing. Kakadan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dawn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dawn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kakadan keeping moving, preventing Dawn from controlling successfully. Dawn showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kakadan looking for subs off his back but Dawn has passed one foot through into half guard.
Kakadan tries to get to full guard but Dawn has control of the leg. Kakadan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kakadan. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kakadan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Dawn showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dawn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
