Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Stock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Sheilds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheilds walks into a jab.
Sheilds misses with a few strikes there.
Sheilds takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Stock feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

and Stock counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Stock pushes off an throws an elbow but Sheilds leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Sheilds pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sheilds did well to prevent Stock getting side control.

Stock takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Sheilds's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
