PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johann Bruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Marron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Greg Marron was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Greg Marron!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruno throws a sloppy head kick and Marron moves out of range easily.
Marron looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Marron shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bruno but Bruno pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bruno.

Bruno closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bruno is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Bruno feints and as Marron raises his hands in defense, Bruno changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bruno moves in looking to clinch but Marron pushes him off.

Marron is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bruno gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bruno wants to stand but Marron is controlling the position.
Marron stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bruno swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bruno wants to get back to his feet but Marron is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Marron tries to free his leg and advance position but Bruno is retaining full guard.

Bruno will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Marron up against the cage.
