Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Tombstone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maynard Keenan!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keenan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tombstone walks into a stiff left hand from Keenan.


It looks like Tony Tombstone has been cut.
Keenan lands a nice shot to the body.
Keenan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tombstone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Keenan's waist but Keenan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tombstone off to one side.
Tombstone fails to land the takedown.
Tombstone wants to clinch up but Keenan keeps it at a distance.
Tombstone throws a hook but Keenan avoids it easily.
Tombstone tries for a takedown but Keenan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Tombstone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tombstone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tombstone shoots in looking for a takedown. Keenan tries to sprawl out of it but Tombstone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Keenan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tombstone has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Keenan regains guard immediately.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Keenan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Keenan is looking to stand up but Tombstone isn't so interested in that idea.
Keenan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Keenan working for a triangle but Tombstone defends it easily.
Keenan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tombstone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tombstone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tombstone stands and throws Keenan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tombstone creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Keenan is not content to let Tombstone control the position.

Tombstone is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Keenan keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Tombstone is trying to control. Keenan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tombstone throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Keenan is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Tombstone prevents Keenan from getting the reversal.

Tombstone looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tombstone is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Tombstone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tombstone wants to slow Keenan down by chopping away at his legs.

Keenan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tombstone.

Tombstone dives in and scores a takedown into Keenan's guard.
Keenan has his hands on Tombstone's head, controlling the position.

Tombstone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Keenan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tombstone, into his guard.

Tombstone working for a triangle but Keenan defends it easily.

Tombstone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Keenan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tombstone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Keenan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Keenan trying to control but Tombstone is working from the bottom.
Tombstone throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Keenan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Tombstone pushes Keenan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Tombstone takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Keenan tries to clinch up but Tombstone circles away and keeps his distance.

Keenan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tombstone is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Keenan struggles to land a body shot inside as Tombstone controls his hands.
Keenan misses with a hook to the ribs.
Keenan blocking some punches.
Tombstone drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Keenan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Keenan is working Tombstone over against the cage.
Keenan presses Tombstone against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Tombstone tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Keenan's elbow.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Tombstone lands a nice shot to the body.
Tombstone pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Keenan is working Tombstone over against the cage.
Tombstone wants to take the fight to the mat but Keenan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Keenan lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tombstone.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Keenan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

A short body shot lands from Keenan as the two fighters clinch.
Still in the clinch, Keenan scores with a nice short uppercut.
Keenan is leaning against Tombstone and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Keenan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Keenan is working Tombstone over against the cage.
Keenan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tombstone backwards.


Tombstone is rocked!
Keenan lands with a left to the head.
Oh Tombstone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Keenan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Keenan has Tombstone pushed against the cage.
Tombstone misses with a short punch on the inside.

Keenan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Keenan drops Tombstone with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Tombstone! Keenan dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maynard Keenan!
Maynard Keenan really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Adrenaline logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
