Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rico Dominguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Corey Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominguez comes to the cage accompanied by Renegades of Funk. Rico Dominguez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mike Corey Jr's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rico Dominguez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Corey Jr! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corey Jr tries to clinch up. A chopping leg kick lands by Corey Jr. Dominguez misses the shot to the body. Corey Jr scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dominguez is looking for a sweep. Corey Jr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dominguez is controlling Corey Jr's position as best he can from this difficult position. Corey Jr is working for a submission of some sort.
Corey Jr tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dominguez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dominguez controlling the position well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corey Jr is trying to control. Dominguez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Corey Jr looks to land a strike but Dominguez avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Corey Jr tries to free his leg and advance position but Dominguez is retaining full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corey Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Corey Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dominguez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Corey Jr trying to control but Dominguez is working from the bottom. Dominguez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Corey Jr bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dominguez wants to sweep but no luck. Dominguez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Dominguez controls Corey Jr momentarily but Corey Jr frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corey Jr wants to control from the top but Dominguez keeps moving. Dominguez keeping full guard, as Corey Jr tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corey Jr is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Corey Jr prevents Dominguez from getting back to his feet. Corey Jr advances position into side control! Corey Jr landing a few strikes. Corey Jr lands a decent elbow from side control. You can see the frustration on Dominguez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dominguez is not content to let Corey Jr control the position. Dominguez struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corey Jr working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Corey Jr working away. Corey Jr tries to advance to mount but Dominguez denies him. Dominguez is trying to control Corey Jr's posture but Corey Jr avoids it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Corey Jr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dominguez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Corey Jr's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Corey Jr dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Corey Jr doesn't manage to clinch there - Dominguez circles away.
A chopping leg kick lands by Dominguez. Dominguez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dominguez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Corey Jr.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dominguez. Corey Jr does a little dance to reset his feet. Dominguez cracks Corey Jr with a right hand to the side of the head. Corey Jr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dominguez pinned against the cage. Dominguez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Corey Jr. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Dominguez throws a leg kick but Corey Jr moved away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dominguez tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Corey Jr scores with a head kick. Dominguez tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Corey Jr moves out of range of the strikes. Corey Jr fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rico Dominguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Corey Jr. A lazy left from Dominguez finds it's target. An inside leg kick lands from Dominguez. Corey Jr tries to clinch up and Dominguez counters with a low kick, right behind Corey Jr 's knee. Horrible takedown by Corey Jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Dominguez which made him look bad. Corey Jr has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Dominguez.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dominguez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Mike Corey Jr has been cut. Dominguez tests Corey Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Corey Jr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Corey Jr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Corey Jr wants to clinch but Dominguez slips to the side and Dominguez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Dominguez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Corey Jr. Mike Corey Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dominguez tries a low kick but Corey Jr avoids it. Dominguez getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Corey Jr is rocked! Rico Dominguez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Corey Jr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Corey Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Dominguez finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dominguez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Corey Jr seems to have recovered his senses. Dominguez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Corey Jr postures up and lands a big shot to Dominguez's brow. Mike Corey Jr has got the better of the ground game so far. Corey Jr preventing the sweep. Dominguez keeping moving, preventing Corey Jr from controlling successfully. Corey Jr throwing strikes but missing. Corey Jr is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dominguez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dominguez has escaped and now he's on top! Dominguez wants to control from the top but Corey Jr keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corey Jr looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dominguez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corey Jr wants to clinch up but Dominguez keeps it at a distance. Corey Jr has a takedown stuffed. Dominguez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Dominguez dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Mike Corey Jr's cut. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Dominguez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Dominguez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dominguez wants it to stay on the feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Dominguez. Corey Jr shoots for a takedown but Dominguez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Corey Jr throws a head kick that misses. Dominguez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Corey Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rico Dominguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Corey Jr. Nice uppercut lands for Dominguez. That snapped Corey Jr's head back.
Dominguez fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dominguez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Corey Jr. Corey Jr is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Corey Jr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corey Jr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Corey Jr looks for a takedown but Dominguez sprawls well. Corey Jr shoots in for a double leg but Dominguez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Donk. Dominguez catches Corey Jr right on the button with a cross. Dominguez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dominguez. Corey Jr takes a shot to the body in his stride.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Corey Jr on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dominguez throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Corey Jr colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Dominguez as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Corey Jr is left battered and dazed whilst Dominguez and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rico Dominguez! Rico Dominguez really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Milwaukee's Best 160 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
