The crowd seem to be enjoying Church's choice of entrance music: Come To Life. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Mayweather slams his shin into Church's torso.
Mayweather displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Church.
Church avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mayweather lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Mayweather tries to land a front kick but Church steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

It looks like Hector Church has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Church looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Johny Mayweather has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hector Church.

Mayweather just misses with a punch to the body.
Mayweather connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mayweather looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mayweather stuffs the takedown attempt from Church. Church gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mayweather holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Church tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mayweather is squirming around, avoiding Church's attempts to control the action.
Mayweather has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Mayweather covering up well under a series of strikes from Church.
Mayweather tries to escape the position.
Church has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Church throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Church is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mayweather has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Church is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Mayweather has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Church has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Mayweather taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Church doesn't care though - he's delighted!
