Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazuyuki Shimizu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krystof Mckay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kazuyuki Shimizu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kazuyuki Shimizu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kazuyuki Shimizu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Krystof Mckay! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mckay shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Shimizu stuffs the takedown attempt from Mckay. Mckay gets slowly back to his feet. Shimizu slips under a jab from Mckay. Shimizu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mckay looks to throw the jab but Shimizu is out of range. Shimizu tries to sprawl but Mckay drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mckay looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mckay is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Shimizu has managed to free his arm - good work. Shimizu wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mckay is trying to work for a kimura but Shimizu is defending well.
Mckay passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Shimizu! Shimizu is squirming around, avoiding Mckay's attempts to control the action. Mckay is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Shimizu to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Shimizu shrugs it off. Shimizu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mckay on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckay trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mckay prevents Shimizu from getting the reversal. Mckay with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Mckay jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shimizu manages to avoid the submission attempt. Mckay connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Shimizu some visible discomfort.
Mckay cracks Shimizu with a big right hand but Shimizu just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mckay in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Shimizu wants to control but Mckay postures up. Shimizu tries to improve position but can't. Mckay throws an elbow but Shimizu slips to the side and avoids it well. Mckay working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mckay throws a strike aimed at the side of Shimizu's head but Shimizu avoids it well. Shimizu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mckay wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Shimizu dodges the ground and pound from Mckay. Mckay is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shimizu has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mckay working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mckay looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Shimizu dodges the ground and pound from Mckay. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mckay is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shimizu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Krystof Mckay dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Mckay misses with a straight left. Mckay misses with a hook. Shimizu throws a body kick that misses. Mckay misses with an uppercut. Shimizu saw that one coming. Shimizu scores with a hook. Shimizu lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Shimizu walks into a jab. Mckay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Shimizu scores with a hook. Shimizu misses with a wild body shot. Shimizu tests Mckay's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mckay fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Shimizu tries a head kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shimizu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mckay bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shimizu's head. Mckay darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mckay is trying to work for a kimura but Shimizu is defending well.

A close second round but Krystof Mckay will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Shimizu throws a shot to the body.
Jab, jab by Shimizu - just one landing. A decent looking cross lands there for Mckay. Shimizu pushes Mckay up against the cage in a clinch. Shimizu lands a hook that snaps the head of Mckay backwards. Mckay is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shimizu pulls him back up using the underhooks. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Shimizu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Mckay is working for takedown but Shimizu is calmly controlling the position for now. Shimizu stops a takedown attempt from Mckay.
Kazuyuki Shimizu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krystof Mckay. Still in the clinch, Shimizu scores with a nice short uppercut. Mckay goes for a takedown attempt but Shimizu pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mckay lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shimizu circles away quickly and effectively. Shimizu is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Mckay takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mckay takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This has been an exciting period of action! Mckay gets tackled into the cage by Shimizu. Shimizu maintains the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Shimizu. Mckay has clasped his hands together around Shimizu's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Mckay tries for a kimura but Shimizu is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shimizu is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shimizu dodges the ground and pound from Mckay. Mckay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mckay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mckay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Shimizu is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Kazuyuki Shimizu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shimizu tries to buck Mckay off but Mckay is having none of it. Shimizu is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mckay connects with a decent elbow. Mckay throws an elbow but Shimizu slips to the side and avoids it well. Mckay working away. Shimizu is looking for a sweep. Shimizu is trying to control Mckay's posture but Mckay avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shimizu stops Mckay from passing to mount. Mckay is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shimizu has escaped the position, nice work there. Mckay working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Shimizu prevents Mckay from improving position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mckay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mckay has let go of the choke. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Krystof Mckay. I've got Mckay winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
