Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Hosking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mortimer Plumbtree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hosking's entrance music is War Machine. A fine choice. Plumbtree is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by White and Nerdy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent Hosking!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mortimer Plumbtree!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plumbtree throws a head kick that misses.
Hosking throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hosking blocks a head kick by Plumbtree.
Hosking swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Plumbtree throws a head kick but Hosking moves out of range.
Hosking throws a lazy head kick
and Plumbtree counters with a big head kick but Hosking shrugs it off.
Plumbtree throws a head kick that misses.
Hosking avoids the head kick by Plumbtree.
Hosking fails with an attempt to clinch.

Plumbtree throws a lazy head kick

and Hosking counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Hosking is looking to advance position but Plumbtree won't allow it.
Plumbtree wants to get back to his feet.
Hosking missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Hosking seems to be working for a kimura but Plumbtree defends the submission attempt.

Hosking stands up and beckons Plumbtree to join him on the feet.
Hosking tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Plumbtree paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Plumbtree takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hosking wants to clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hosking shoots in for a takedown but Plumbtree shows good takedown defense.
Plumbtree throws a head kick but Hosking moves out of range.

Hosking shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Plumbtree napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Plumbtree explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Hosking is looking to clinch.
Hosking changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Plumbtree tries to avoid it but Hosking manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Plumbtree to the ground. Plumbtree escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hosking tries to score a power double leg takedown but Plumbtree sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hosking somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Hosking. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Plumbtree tries to keep at a distance but Hosking has taken the fight into the clinch.

Plumbtree breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hosking shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Plumbtree is trying to stand back up but Hosking is controlling him
Plumbtree really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hosking. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Plumbtree is refusing to be controlled, as Hosking sits in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Plumbtree wants to get back to his feet.

Plumbtree is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Plumbtree stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Plumbtree wants it to stay on the feet.
Hosking throws a series of punches but Plumbtree moves out of range.
Vincent Hosking seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hosking shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Plumbtree keeps the fight on the outside.
Hosking looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hosking throws a leg kick but Plumbtree checks it.

Hosking manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Plumbtree on his heels. He'll look to pass Plumbtree's guard now, I'm sure.
Hosking might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plumbtree wants to get back to his feet but Hosking is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Plumbtree wants to stand and escape but Hosking is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vincent Hosking.

Hosking misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Plumbtree swats away the attempt to clinch by Hosking.

Hosking fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hosking throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Plumbtree's waist but Plumbtree gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hosking off to one side.

Vincent Hosking is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vincent Hosking.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hosking, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
