Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taka Sho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clay's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Atari Teenage Riot - Revolution Action . Curtis Clay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Curtis Clay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taka Sho! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sho throws a lazy right hand but Clay sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sho. Taka Sho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sho throws a chopping leg kick but Clay manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Clay shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sho looks to throw the jab but Clay is out of range. Clay takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Clay closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Clay lands in his opponent's guard. Sho striking from the bottom here. Sho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Clay forces his way into half guard. Sho strikes from the bottom but Clay uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Sho manages to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sho trying to control here.
Clay moves into full mount! Sho won't be happy about that! Clay can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sho is looking to escape. Sho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Clay sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Clay wants to finish this one by submission but Sho is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Clay. Sho is trying to escape the mount.
Sho swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sho really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Poor strikes thrown by Clay there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Clay prevents Sho from getting the reversal. Sho in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Clay looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Clay scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Sho?
This has been an exciting period of action! Sho keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Clay wants to control the pace but Sho is squirming around nicely. Sho regains half guard. Clay prevents Sho from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clay is trying to control the action in half guard but Sho is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sho punching from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sho makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sho. Sho keeping full guard, as Clay tries to pass. Sho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clay can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Clay postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sho looking for a guillotine here but Clay defends easily.
Clay stands up over Sho, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clay passes Sho's left leg - he's now in half guard. Clay is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sho works his way to full guard. Good work. Sho is trying to keep Clay in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sho is on top in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Clay has momentary wrist control but Sho slips an elbow through the middle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Clay looking to control.
Clay is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Sho frees his head nicely. Oh but Clay has switched to an armbar! Sho is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
