Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ward Cee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Beaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ward Cee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Justin Beaver!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beaver manages to avoid it.

Cee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Beaver manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Cee drops back looking for a leg! Beaver is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beaver manages to kick Cee off! Cee jumps back into Beaver's guard.
Beaver being controlled here, momentarily.

Beaver escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cee passes into half guard.
Cee controlling the pace.
Cee has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cee controlling his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Cee's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ward Cee.
Beaver uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cee.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Beaver cracks Cee with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Beaver looks to clinch

so Cee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cee is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Cee advances position into side control!
Beaver can't do much from the bottom here.
Cee controls the position.

Cee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cee working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Beaver is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Cee is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Beaver will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Cee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Beaver for as long as he can get away with.
You can see the frustration on Beaver's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here as Cee stalls from top position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ward Cee just wasn't active enough.
Beaver stuffs the takedown attempt from Cee. Cee gets slowly back to his feet.
Beaver tries to clinch up

and Cee counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Beaver!
Beaver looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cee controlling from mount.
Beaver really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ward Cee dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Justin Beaver's cut.
That's time! Cee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Nice takedown defense from Cee. No joy for Beaver on that attempt.
Cee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Beaver throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Beaver wants to get back to his feet.
Beaver is breathing heavily.
Cee seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ward Cee.
Beaver swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Beaver.
Beaver misses with a series of wild punches.

Cee scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Cee takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Cee is trying for a kimura here. Beaver looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Cee wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ward Cee!
