Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kane Lucas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, EJ Sanchez! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lucas gets caught flat footed, as Sanchez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lucas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lucas looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sanchez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Lucas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Sanchez passes Lucas's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lucas actively working from the bottom here. Sanchez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez preventing the sweep. Sanchez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lucas works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sanchez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sanchez is fighting to break Lucas's control of his arms but Lucas is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Lucas manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lucas looking to control and managing it successfully. Sanchez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sanchez is squirming around, avoiding Lucas's attempts to control the action. Sanchez tries to improve his position but Lucas has taken his back! Lucas has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Sanchez tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Lucas pushes Sanchez away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
