Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Negrete Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into the arena with Blak blaring out of the sound system. Negrete Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jeffrey Araujo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Negrete Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeffrey Araujo! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Araujo gets a takedown into half guard. Araujo is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Araujo to get the leverage. Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva. Silva trying to control the position.
Araujo controlling from the top position. Araujo postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it. Araujo looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Araujo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Araujo advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Araujo tries for a kimura but Silva is defending well. Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Araujo on the ground. Araujo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Silva tries to bench press Araujo off him but Araujo keeps the position. Araujo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well. Araujo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Silva sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Silva is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Araujo is trying to get an arm triangle but Silva is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Araujo throwing shots but missing, from side control. Silva dodges the ground and pound from Araujo. Araujo swings around for an armbar but Silva sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Araujo's guard. Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Araujo is trying to keep Silva in close.
Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Araujo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Araujo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Araujo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Araujo seems to have locked his on tight now - Silva screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Araujo, as he picks up the win!
