Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jony Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bones has chosen What's Golden About That as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Barry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jony Bones! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barry closes the distance and pushes Bones back into the cage. Bones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Barry.
Bones jumps guard.
Barry wants to control from the top but Bones keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bones trying to keep a closed guard but Barry is proving a slippery customer.
Barry with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bones has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Barry has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bones tries to buck Barry off but Barry is having none of it. Bones is trying to control Barry's posture but Barry avoids it. Bones is looking to regain half guard here but Barry keeps moving and retains side control. Bones trying to remain calm as Barry controls from the top position. Bones is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bones is being controlled here. Barry decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bones to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barry throws a leg kick that is checked and Bones counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Bones has Barry pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Barry manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bones tries for a takedown but Barry manages to get underhooks.
Bones wants to get back to striking at distance but Barry won't allow it.
Bones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Barry fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Steve Barry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jony Bones. Barry fails to land the takedown. Bones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barry to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barry wants to get up but he can't break Bones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Barry trying to control the position from guard on top but Bones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barry is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Barry passes Bones's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bones is not content to let Barry control the position. Barry wants to stand but Bones has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Barry is trying to control. Bones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Barry decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Barry tries to keep at a distance but Bones has taken the fight into the clinch. Barry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Barry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bones misses with a head kick.
Barry works over Bones's head and body with a nice combination. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bones lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Barry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bones avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Barry dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bones gets tackled into the cage by Barry. Barry maintains the clinch. Barry is trying to break free. Bones tries to pull guard but Barry won't allow it.
Barry lands a body shot in the clinch.
Bones gets a trip takedown into half guard. Barry is defending against the submission attempts here by Bones.
Barry is trying to maintain the position but Bones is very close to passing his half guard. Steve Barry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Barry defends it well. Bones is breathing heavily. Barry is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Barry defends it well. Barry makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Barry. Barry wants to get back to his feet but Bones is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bones tries to stand but Barry is controlling from the bottom. Barry keeping moving, preventing Bones from controlling successfully. Barry is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bones defends well. Barry on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Barry tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barry is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bones, into his guard. Barry trying to control the position from guard on top but Bones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barry slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Barry throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barry pushes down on Bones's leg and manages to get into half guard. Barry is keen to just control but Bones is a slippery customer. Barry controlling the action here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Barry stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bones to get to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barry avoids it really well and circles away. Barry slaps away a takedown attempt from Bones, before circling back to the center of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Barry dominated that second round. That's time! Barry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Barry lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Bones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Barry. Barry looking to pass the guard. Bones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barry is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Barry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Barry works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bones tries to get to full guard but Barry has control of the leg. Barry throwing shots but Bones is blocking nicely. Barry not doing much here.
Barry is looking for a kimura but Bones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barry to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bones is not content to let Barry control the position. Barry content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Barry throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barry is working away from the top position though. Barry is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bones sees it coming and defends easily. Barry takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barry seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Barry slips a nice elbow through Bones's hands, connecting with Bones's forehead. Ground and pound from Barry. Barry controlling the pace. Barry decides to return to a standing position. Barry clinches. Barry is trying to force a seperation but Bones has the dominant position. Bones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bones takes one to the side of the head.
Barry takes a swing at Bones's ribcage but misses. Bones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barry defends it nicely. Steve Barry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jony Bones. Barry drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barry thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jony Bones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Steve Barry is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barry moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Barry showed his dominance in that final round. Well Barry has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
