Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brice Gabbert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Routine Maintenance! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gabbert misses with a combination
and Maintenance counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Gabbert is looking to escape. Maintenance thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gabbert's head. Gabbert is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Maintenance scores with a couple of nice shots. Maintenance throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Maintenance seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Maintenance has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Maintenance winds up and cracks Gabbert with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gabbert on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Maintenance wants to take a breather but Gabbert is having none of it. Maintenance throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gabbert is looking to get back to is feet but Maintenance passes into side control.
Maintenance is putting a hurting on Gabbert here, landing some big shots from side control. Maintenance connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gabbert some visible discomfort.

Maintenance lands a few punches from side control. You can see the frustration on Gabbert's face as Maintenance controls the position. Gabbert gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Gabbert knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maintenance on the ground. Gabbert is breathing heavily. Maintenance postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gabbert looks a forlorn figure.
Gabbert is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Whack. That's a big, big shot from Maintenance! Gabbert is out cold! This one is all over!
