Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Methuselah Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zirry Swan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Couture kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is wait, nvmnd! thats just the tapping of his cane as he walks.. Swan has chosen Blame it on my ADD as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture shoots in and gets a takedown into Swan's guard.
Swan wants to stand and escape but Couture is having none of it.
Couture is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Swan controls Couture momentarily but Couture frees himself.
Couture is stalling in the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Methuselah Couture just wasn't active enough.
A cross from Couture lands.
Couture shoots for a double leg takedown but Swan sprawls well. He's pushed Couture's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Zirry Swan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Horrible takedown by Couture or perhaps it was just good defense by Swan which made him look bad.
Couture fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Swan to the ground. Couture is now in Swan's guard.

and Swan counters with a good low kick that Couture was not able to check.

Couture dives in and grabs Swan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Swan pushes down on Couture's head and hops out.

Methuselah Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Couture throws a jab but it's blocked by Swan.
Couture shoots for a takedown but Swan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Swan clinches up with Couture and pushes him back against the cage.
Swan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Couture breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Couture chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Swan can pounce on him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Couture is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Couture feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Swan's calf.

Couture tries to clinch up but Swan circles away and keeps his distance.

Swan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Swan wants it to stay on the feet.
Couture swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Swan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Swan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Couture has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Couture tries to clinch up but Swan circles away and keeps his distance.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Couture is defended easily by Swan.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Swan has Couture up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Couture tries to score a body lock takedown but Swan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Methuselah Couture.
I think Couture has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
