Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Ed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy James!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ed is not content to let James control the position.
James sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ed is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
James connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ed some visible discomfort.
James really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ed takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

James looks up at the clock and then as Ed takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, James smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

James looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
You can see the frustration on Ed's face as James controls the position.
Ed is looking to get back to his feet here but James is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ed's back.
James tries to keep control of the position but Ed is staying busy.
James is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. James gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. James gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. James apologises and we restart here on the feet.

and James counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Ed has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. James is working away from the top position though.

Ed is looking to escape.
Ed is breathing heavily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
James is nestled in close to Ed, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

James is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ed is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

James scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ed to see if he's OK.
James moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

A big shot lands for James! That's hurt Ed! Will he recover? James fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
