And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coholic lands a nice hook to Acton's body. Acton takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Acton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Acton prevents Coholic from improving his position.
Acton is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Acton frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Coholic is trying to escape the mount.
Acton working for a submission but Coholic is keeping him at bay.

Acton cracks Coholic with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Acton works his way to his opponent's back.
Acton working for a choke but Coholic is defending well.
Coholic preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Acton.
Coholic manages to reverse the position and now he's in Acton's guard. Nice work there by Coholic.

Acton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Coholic is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Acton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Coholic's back instead.
Acton is breathing heavily.
Acton is trying to stick to Coholic's back but Coholic is turning into Acton. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Acton's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Coholic.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Coholic throwing strikes but missing.
Acton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coholic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Coholic postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Coholic trying to control the position from guard on top but Acton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Acton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coholic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Coholic trying to stand up but can't free himself from Acton's guard.
Acton controls Coholic momentarily but Coholic frees himself.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Acton fails with a takedown attempt.
Coholic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Acton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Coholic's guard.

Coholic looking for a sweep. Not yet Coholic, not yet.
Acton is pushing down on Coholic's leg trying to pass to half guard. Coholic is fighting to maintain full guard but Acton has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Acton wants to pass the guard but Coholic is defending well.

Coholic is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Acton rolls with it to try and escape but Coholic cranks on the arm and Acton is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
