Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shunsuke Mizuno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rambo Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shunsuke Mizuno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rambo Kawajiri! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mizuno connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Mizuno leaves Kawajiri with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kawajiri shoots in looking for a takedown but Mizuno manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kawajiri's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kawajiri doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mizuno counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Shunsuke Mizuno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rambo Kawajiri. Kawajiri shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mizuno's guard. Mizuno on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mizuno tries to get out of the position. Kawajiri trying to control the position from guard on top but Mizuno is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mizuno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rambo Kawajiri wasn't active enough on the ground. Mizuno throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kawajiri sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kawajiri closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. A jab from Mizuno misses. Kawajiri looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kawajiri gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mizuno. Kawajiri fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mizuno throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kawajiri with a poor takedown and Mizuno counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Kawajiri misses. Kawajiri ducks under a wild hook from Mizuno. Kawajiri takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kawajiri tries for a takedown but Mizuno circles away easily and Mizuno counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kawajiri steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mizuno. Mizuno paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Kawajiri will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kawajiri gets caught flat footed, as Mizuno shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mizuno accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawajiri controls Mizuno momentarily but Mizuno frees himself. Mizuno in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mizuno trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mizuno trying to control but Kawajiri is working from the bottom. Mizuno throws a strike but Kawajiri rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Mizuno wants to stand up but Kawajiri is controlling him. Kawajiri stopping the sweep attempt from Mizuno. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kawajiri trying to control but Mizuno is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mizuno is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kawajiri is controlling him. Kawajiri controlling from the top position. Mizuno is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kawajiri is aware though and is defending well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mizuno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kawajiri passes Mizuno's left leg - he's now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shunsuke Mizuno dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kawajiri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mizuno is fending him off so far but Kawajiri persists. Nope, Mizuno circles away and we're back to standing. Kawajiri uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mizuno. Kawajiri tries for a takedown but Mizuno circles away easily and Mizuno counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kawajiri fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mizuno avoids it really well and circles away. Shunsuke Mizuno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rambo Kawajiri. Mizuno throws a shot from downtown. Kawajiri moves away and avoids it. Kawajiri shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mizuno but Mizuno pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawajiri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mizuno is fending him off so far but Kawajiri persists. Nope, Mizuno circles away and we're back to standing. Mizuno looks to land a combination. Kawajiri sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kawajiri looks to score with a jab to the body but Mizuno is just out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kawajiri. Shunsuke Mizuno is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kawajiri gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kawajiri tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Mizuno is struggling to control the position. Mizuno breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kawajiri misses with a takedown attempt and Mizuno counters with a one-two to the body. Kawajiri is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kawajiri tries to move into range but Mizuno moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Mizuno avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shunsuke Mizuno is winning the standup battle so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kawajiri takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A low kick from Kawajiri misses and Mizuno counters with a single leg into guard. Kawajiri didn't expect that. Kawajiri is adopting a defensive guard. Mizuno landing with the ground and pound. Mizuno wants to control from the top but Kawajiri keeps moving. Mizuno has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mizuno cracks Kawajiri with a solid left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mizuno preventing the sweep. Kawajiri is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Kawajiri looking to control.
Mizuno loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kawajiri preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kawajiri working for a triangle but Mizuno defends it easily.
Kawajiri is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mizuno postures up in Kawajiri's guard and throws a big left but Kawajiri blocks it. Mizuno lands a couple of elbows. Shunsuke Mizuno overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mizuno throws a big right hand that misses. Kawajiri not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kawajiri looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mizuno is one step ahead there. Kawajiri working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mizuno doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mizuno manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mizuno missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kawajiri trying to control the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mizuno throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kawajiri works some decent striking defense from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kawajiri has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mizuno can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mizuno chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shunsuke Mizuno dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Kawajiri is looking to clinch but Mizuno is avoiding it.
A telegraphed right hand from Mizuno misses the target. A combination from Mizuno does no damage. Kawajiri misses with a takedown attempt and Mizuno counters with a left to the body. Kawajiri gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mizuno counters with a left and a right that stings Kawajiri. Kawajiri closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mizuno quickly recovers to half guard. Mizuno is looking to escape. Kawajiri takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kawajiri works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawajiri wants to control but Mizuno is keeping him busy. Mizuno is looking for a sweep. Mizuno stops Kawajiri from passing to mount. Kawajiri is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mizuno has escaped the position, nice work there. Mizuno might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kawajiri controlling the position from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mizuno is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Mizuno is trying to control Kawajiri's posture but Kawajiri avoids it. Mizuno gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawajiri looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mizuno with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mizuno tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kawajiri manages to move to mount!
Kawajiri wants to finish this one by submission but Mizuno is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kawajiri. Kawajiri working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mizuno turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Kawajiri off and cradles Mizuno's limp body as Kawajiri celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rambo Kawajiri!
