PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between BB Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Man might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Beyonce's "Ring On It". Carter is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bob Dylan - Hurricane. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man throws a head kick that misses.
Carter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Man counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Carter lands with a right hand.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Man as he avoids it easily.
Carter bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Man closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Man fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it.
Man takes one on the button.

Man rushes Carter and presses him up against the cage.
Knees to the body from Man.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Man looking to throw knees to the head but Carter is blocking nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter blocks an elbow strike from Man.
Carter can't break the clinch.
Man tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Carter avoids it.
Man is pushing Carter up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Man misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Carter.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Man misses with a knee strike.
Carter lands a hook that snaps the head of Man backwards.
Man tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Carter lands with a short shot to the head.
Carter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Carter blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Carter lands a hook that snaps the head of Man backwards.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Carter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Man is rocked!

Carter is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Man is in big trouble! Carter is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Man. Poor guy.
