Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Tapout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Rahman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tapout comes to the cage accompanied by Runaway. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Rahman!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tapout slips under a jab from Rahman.
Tapout closes the distance but Rahman moves to the side
enabling Rahman to counter with a crisp jab.
Rahman lands a lovely overhand right.
Tapout misses with a low kick.
Rahman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tapout.
Tapout tries to clinch up
and Rahman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Tommy Tapout has been cut.
A slow jab from Tapout misses its intended target.
No joy there for Rahman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tapout fails in his attempt to clinch.

Rahman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tapout throws a low kick but Rahman avoids it.

Tapout closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rahman did well to prevent Tapout getting side control.

Tapout is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Tapout is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rahman has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rahman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Tapout wants to free his trapped foot but Rahman is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Rahman keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Rahman is looking to control Tapout's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rahman avoid being mounted?

Tapout is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Tapout wants to work for an arm triangle but Rahman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rahman regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Tapout.
Tapout postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tapout throws an elbow that misses. Rahman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tapout's guard. Nice move by Rahman!

and Rahman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Rahman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Rahman counters with a nice uppercut.


Tapout is rocked!
Rahman cracks Tapout's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Tapout slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Rahman can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Carlos Rahman!
