Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hooby Mcbobby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrej Kavelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrej Kavelin!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcbobby bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mcbobby is trying to ground and pound but Kavelin uses the momentary lack of control by Mcbobby to regain half guard.
Kavelin tries to roll over but Mcbobby keeps him under control.
Kavelin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mcbobby is working away from the top position though.
Mcbobby seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kavelin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcbobby is looking to pass Kavelin's guard but actually Kavelin recovers to full guard.
Kavelin is pulling down on Mcbobby's head to control his posture.
Mcbobby wants to pass the guard but Kavelin is keeping the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mcbobby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kavelin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mcbobby won't be happy with that.
Mcbobby wants to control but Kavelin postures up.
Mcbobby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kavelin on the ground.

Kavelin has hold of Mcbobby's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mcbobby tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kavelin cranks the arm and Mcbobby screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mcbobby, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Andrej Kavelin!
A very excited looking Andrej Kavelin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
