And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsumoto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rua pinned against the cage. Rua gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rua goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rua throws a leg kick that misses.
Rua connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rua scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Matsumoto is rocked!
Matsumoto tries to close the distance and clinch but Rua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Oh Matsumoto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rua lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Matsumoto falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Vitor Rua!
