The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerns moves into the clinch. Kerns looks to throw an elbow but misses. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kerns as Obasi tries to tie him up. Obasi scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Jack Kerns has been cut. Kerns gets through Obasi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kerns lands a right hand.
It looks like Solomon Obasi has been cut. Kerns using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Obasi has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That has opened up Solomon Obasi's cut even more. Obasi trying to control the position but instead, Kerns has worked for underhooks and has pushed Obasi into the cage. Obasi is still on wobbly legs! Can Kerns finish him? Kerns cracks Obasi with a nice body shot. Clinched against the cage, Kerns lands a big elbow that drops Obasi! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Obasi is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
