Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Leclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Insley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leclair's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Been to hell. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Dave Insley enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Leclair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Insley! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leclair stuffs the takedown. Insley shoots in for a double leg but Leclair sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dave Insley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leclair misses with a head kick.
Insley throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Insley fails with the takedown and Leclair counters with a head kick. That will keep Insley thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Steve Leclair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Insley. Insley closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Leclair lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Nice takedown defense from Leclair. No joy for Insley on that attempt. Insley closes the distance and clinches. Leclair has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Leclair wants to break the clinch but can't.

Insley slips a jab and a cross from Leclair.
Insley shoots in and bounces Leclair off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Insley stops Leclair from standing up. Insley tries to free his leg and advance position but Leclair is retaining full guard. Insley is pushing down on Leclair's leg trying to pass to half guard. Leclair is fighting to maintain full guard but Insley has managed to sneak the leg through. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Insley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Leclair looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leclair kicks Insley off and gets back to his feet. Leclair is breathing heavily. Leclair fails to land with a series of punches.
Insley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leclair paws at him with a jab and circles away. Insley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leclair pinned against the cage. Leclair gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Insley misses with a takedown attempt - Leclair sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leclair misses with a double jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leclair scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Leclair swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Insley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Insley postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Leclair to stand up. Insley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leclair is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Insley asserts his dominance and retains side control. Insley trying to control the position but Leclair is working away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Leclair pushes Insley away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Insley gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Insley is putting a hurting on Leclair here, landing some big shots from side control. Leclair is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leclair is trying to escape the position but Insley is controlling the position. Leclair regains half guard, as Insley was trying to land strikes. Insley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Leclair does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Insley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Leclair wants to get back to his feet.
Leclair trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Insley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Leclair stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leclair wants it to stay on the feet. Insley avoids a kick to the body.
Insley shoots in looking for a takedown but Leclair manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Insley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Leclair takes a swing at Insley's ribcage but misses. Leclair drops his hands momentarily and Insley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Insley has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Insley. Steve Leclair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Insley. Leclair keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. A combination from Insley does no damage. Leclair really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Insley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leclair paws at him with a jab and circles away. Leclair chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Leclair keeps the fight on the outside. Insley loads up on a big right hand but Leclair slips the punch. Nice body kick from Insley. No luck for Insley with that takedown attempt. Insley is breathing heavily. Nice shot lands for Leclair.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Insley. Leclair shrugs it off though. Leclair defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Insley. Insley tries to clinch up but Leclair circles away and keeps his distance. Insley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leclair circles away quickly and effectively. Leclair throws out a powerful jab. Insley moves in looking to clinch but Leclair pushes him off. Leclair works over Insley's head and body with a nice combination. Leclair throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Insley lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Leclair has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Leclair and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Steve Leclair is winning the standup battle so far. A head kick from Leclair lands but Insley takes it in his stride. Insley dodges the punch combination from Leclair.
Leclair keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leclair misses with a jab, cross combination.
Insley shoots in looking for a takedown. Leclair tries to sprawl out of it but Insley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Leclair manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Insley gets a double leg takedown into Leclair's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leclair pushes Insley off and gets back to his feet.
Insley gets off balance looking for a body kick and Leclair counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Insley shoots in for a takedown but Leclair shows good takedown defense. A punch combination from Leclair misses. Steve Leclair is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Leclair throws a head kick that misses. Insley lands a two punch combo.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Insley takes a head kick and keeps coming.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Leclair will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Leclair looks to land a combination but Insley avoids it well. Leclair throws a head kick that misses and Insley counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Insley stalling away here and it's allowed Leclair to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Insley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Leclair kicks Insley off and gets to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Insley showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Leclair.
Insley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Insley has his takedown stuffed and Leclair counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Leclair misses with a few strikes there.
Insley tries to clinch but Leclair is having none of it. Leclair throws a head kick that misses. Insley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Leclair sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Insley somewhat. Steve Leclair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Insley. Insley sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Insley tries to close the distance and clinch but Leclair swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Insley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Insley fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Leclair. A head kick by Insley misses and Leclair counters with a head kick. Insley tries to clinch there but Leclair circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Insley gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Leclair counters with a two punch combo. Leclair throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Danga de danga de dang - Leclair scores with a four punch combination! Insley closes the distance and clinches up with Leclair, looking for a takedown. Insley pushes Leclair against the cage but Leclair circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Leclair goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Insley is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Leclair. Leclair lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Steve Leclair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Leclair feints a jab promting Insley to slip. Leclair then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Insley slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leclair misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Insley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Leclair manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Some wild striking there from Leclair.
Insley fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Insley moves to clinch but Leclair breaks away and Leclair counters with a one-two to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steve Leclair. I think Leclair has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
