The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maycock manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dumile on his heels. He'll look to pass Dumile's guard now, I'm sure.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Maycock has gone for a leg lock! Dumile slips out almost immediately though and dives into Maycock's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Maycock is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dumile got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maycock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dumile has managed to get both his arms back between Maycock's legs - danger averted.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dumile connects with a nice short shot to Maycock's temple.
